21833 VIC Course in Construction (OH&S Induction)

Occupational Health & Safety Regulations 2007

As set out in part 5.1 of the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations 2007, a person must not do construction work at a workplace unless they are registered, or taken to be registered, to perform that work. This requirement comes into effect from 1 July 2008.

The new Construction induction training competency unit

Construction induction training is a unit of competency of general OHS induction training to the construction industry endorsed or accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework. CEPUTEC will continue to be able to offer this training to its members and the wider construction industry.

The objective of this training is to provide basic instruction on Occupational Health & Safety and its role in contributing to a safer Building & Construction Industry.

On the day of the course Students will be required to bring Photo I.D. this is a requirement of WorkSafe

Qualification and Recognition

On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment from CEPUTEC, results will then passed on to WorkSafe who will issue the CI Induction Card
